Postal ID – Marikina City

8 Jun

I do not work for the Postal Office. I only decided to get a postal ID just to have an additional ID card. Hehehe…

If you’re from Marikina City, here’s how to get a postal ID:

You will need the following:

  • Residence certificate — also known as cedula — you may get one from the Marikina City Hall or from your barangay (if your barangay isssues cedula)
  • Barangay clearance

Once you have the requirements above, go to the Marikina Postal Office and fill out the application form. You would have to photocopy the filled out form and submit theses together with the requirements.

The Postal ID costs Php390 all in all (ID, documentary stamp, picture taking, lamination, etc).  The breakdown of the cost is posted on the application counter window.

Once you have signed the card and placed your thumb mark, you will be asked to proceed to the back entrance of the Postal Office to have your picture taken. After the picture taking, go to the releasing counter and wait for your name to called. The attendant will ask you to double check your information before laminating the card. In less than an hour, you will receive your Postal ID.
