John 3:16

31 Aug

“For God so loved the world that He gave His only Son, so that everyone who believes in Him might not perish but might have eternal life.”

My blog entry is not actually about this bible passage. John 3:16 is printed on my favorite store’s yellow plastic bag. It recently opened its first store in Manila, Philippines (SM Megamall) last July 2010. And man, the store is really ginormous! It’s like heaven! 😛

must NOT go here for a couple of weeks

I now have this love-hate relationship with Forever 21.  I love love love the clothes, shoes, bags, accessories, etc.! But I also hate Forever 21 because I always end up spending — A LOT!!! Sure, shopping can be therapeutic. However, shopping a lot all the time is really unhealthy especially if you’re like me who’s not at all rich. I must not bite off more than I can chew.  I. MUST. STOP. SHOPPING. FOR. NOW.

I will really try my best not to buy anything from Forever21 this September. And maybe the month after, too. And maybe, just maybe even until my birthday! 🙂

Canceled! :)

13 Aug

I’m so happy! 🙂

I was able to cancel one of my two credit cards! Less temptation to swipe!!! [Hindi sayang ang miles!]

goodbye, my Mabuhay Miles credit card!

I plan to keep my other card for Caltex’s 5% rebate, for future 0% installment purchases, fare bookings, hotel reservations, and “emergency” shopping! 🙂

First Time Behind the Steering Wheel

11 Aug

I survived my 1st “driving lessons”!!! 🙂

My boyfriend decided to teach me a few basics before choosing which driving school to enroll in (I have yet to choose which school). The driving lessons (manual transmission) were a bit stressful. However, according to my hawt instructor, I did a good job and he’s really proud of me (I’m all smug about this, huh? :P). Actually, I think a newbie learns fast if he/she trusts and is comfortable with the teacher. And in fairness, my boyfriend’s a pretty good teacher. And he’s amazingly patient, too! Let’s see how long his patience will last. Hehehe…

Thanks, Honey! Next weekend uli! 😛

Guess Who Just Got a Student Driver Permit? :)

6 Aug

A brand spankin’ new student driver permit, that is! 🙂

Yesterday, my boyfriend and I went to LTO Farmer’s Mall Cubao to apply for my Student Driver Permit since we saw on LTO’s website that their Farmer’s office is part of the NCR Office (ergo,  it’s not just a renewal center). However, when we got there, the guard informed us that it’s only for driver’s license renewal.  Nyak!

This morning, my dad accompanied me to LTO Shaw Blvd., Mandaluyong to apply for my permit and for him to get his 2010 car sticker. Getting my permit was a breeze! It took me less than an hour! 🙂 The only boo-boo I did was I downloaded the application form from the LTO website. The guy from LTO Mandauyong told me that it will be not be accepted by the evaluator so I got a form from their office  (it’s for free, by the way)… So don’t download the application form on LTO’s website. It’s of no use. Hehehe… 😛
