Meet Scarlett…

7 Sep
My boyfriend and I finally bought our own car! Here’s Scarlett, our 2010 Toyota Vios.🙂

our Scarlett

We named our car after the Scarlet Red color. Although our Scarlett’s color is Red Mica Metallic. What the heck, they both belong to the family of red!😛

We initially wanted a Honda car but since we’re saving money for our wedding, we opted for the most affordable sedan in the market.

The lowest end of Honda City costs Php691,000 (as of August 2010). We know that Honda’s resale value is higher than Toyota’s, but since we have no plans of reselling our car, we thought of the affordability of Toyota’s car parts. Also, we were considering the new Mazda 2. However, there are only few Mazda service centers in the country and we don’t want to be incovenienced by the long queue in the service centers for repairs or maintenance. Toyota’s service centers, on the other hand, are everywhere!🙂

After all of these considerations, we decided to get the 2010 Vios. We contacted almost all the Toyota centers in Metro Manila to find out which dealer would give us the “best-est” deal. Toyota Cubao gave us a big discount and lots of freebies!🙂

Anyway, last Sunday, we had Scarlett blessed:

Msgr. Severino Casas blessed our car

"ambushed" Msgr. Casas to have Scarlett blessed... Hehehe...😛

After the mass, we went to SM North EDSA to shop for car accessories. We thought that we could get discounted items since it was a 3-day sale. Unfortunately, all the items we bought for our car were not on sale.😦
