Wrong Impression

5 Feb

My friend/officemate, Winston, went to Hong Kong last 30 January 2010. When he came back to work last night, he told us that NAIA’s immigration officer thought that he and his girlfriend would go to Hong Kong to be TNT’s (tago ng tago). Unfortunately, they did not bring with them their hotel reservation voucher so they had no coupon to show to the officer when asked where they would stay. It was their first international flight so cut them some slack, okay?

I was alarmed of this incident since I have plans of staying at my brother’s place when I visit Hong Kong again (READ: No hotel reservation). Winston told me that the officer was contented when they showed him their company ID’s. Whew!

Since Filipinos are somehow known for being TNT’s in other countries (How sad…), don’t forget to bring with you your hotel reservation voucher, return ticket/e-ticket, and company ID when travelling to Hong Kong or to any other country.
