Hi surfed and found your entry on “leap of faith”, however couldn’t post a reply as it was archived. Just wanted to ask how it was done in a fast manner (I’m facing the same situation now). Been reading up and always see RCIA. Asked local parishes too and they mentioned something similar like lessons. Was wondering what the conditions were to speed it up. Thanks!

      Hi Javi!

Yes, the protocol is to have RCIA first. That’s why we were so surprised that my fiance was allowed to be baptized without any RCIA. There were no conditions, really. Maybe because my fiance graduated from a Catholic school. We were just told to submit my fiance’s birth certificate and pay for the Christening fee.

If you want, you can try contacting San Isidro Labrador. It’s in Marikina though. It’s far but it will save you more time than attending seminar classes.

But please be informed that this is only for Baptism.
If you took RCIA classes, you would receive the Sacraments of Baptism and Confirmation in just 1 ceremony. I think the Sacraments of Reconciliation and the Eucharist are also included if you took RCIA classes.
